We're elated to see DYN's partnership with the Chicago Public Library still going strong after all of these years!

Hadiya Pendleton

Hadiya shined her light on us here at the Digital Youth Network as a student, a learner and a creative voice. Hadiya and her peers produced this PSA as a part of a project that sought to counter violence through youth produced media. The project exemplifies the critical importance of empowering our youth to find and share their voice. We are inspired by the passion Hadiya and the youth of Chicago have shown for sculpting a better future for themselves and others and will continue to support these efforts in any way we can. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hadiya's family at this time.

DYN Partners With Kennedy Center

Check out our own Dr. Pinkard as she joins John Legend for the launch event for the Kennedy Center's "What's Going On...Now" initiative. The initiative challenges youth across the nation to use Marvin Gaye's classic album as a point of inspiration to create their own creative stories around what's going on in their communities. DYN is a partner in the initiative, providing curricular and social learning network supports as well as running the program locally in our Chicago sites.
